Obituary

Larry A. Moffitt passed away on June 30, 2024, in Monroe, Michigan, at the age of 83. He was born on October 26, 1940, also in Monroe, Michigan.

Larry dedicated many years of his life to his work at Ford Motor Company and was known for his strong work ethic. Outside of his profession, Larry found joy in various interests such as hunting, fishing, working outdoors, gardening, and also worked as a butcher. He cherished spending time with his beloved wife, Margaret, and their bond was a source of great happiness for him. A big part of his life was being in the United States Marines 29 years and 29 days retired in 1984.

Larry is preceded in death by his dear wife, Margaret, his parents Russell and Donna Moffitt, his brother Rick Moffitt, his cousins Eric and Francis as well as his furry friends Benji, Rusty and Molly. He is survived by his stepdaughter Angela (Kelly) Kenney, his aunt Elaine (the late Beldren) Bondy, and several cousins including Annette, Brad, Colin, Daniel, Greg, Holly, Jim, and Julie.

It is with comfort that we know Larry is reunited with his wife, Margaret, whom he dearly missed since her passing in 2015.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project in Larry's honor.
