Obituary

MILLER, Marie, age 84, of Lincoln Park, passed away on March 29, 2023. Loving mother of Frank Miller, Jr., Cheryl (the late Richard “Dick”) Miller, and Brian (Sandra) Miller. Dearest grandmother of Bradley, Scott (Margaret), Stevie, and Allison. She is survived by her nephews David (Lori) Post, Kenneth (Judy) Post, Robert (Sue) Post, and her cousin Ron (Diane) Clipper. She is preceded in death by her parents Guerino and Irene and sister Lillian (Gerald) Post. Marie was devoted to her family and friends, had a keen wit and storybook memory. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and always made sure they knew how much she loved them. She enjoyed the simple things in life, and despite at times having modest means, always found a way to keep things going. She will be deeply missed and her memory cherished by all those that knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michigan Humane Society.

  • I have wonderful memories of my friend Cheryl’s mom, Mrs.Miller. Her home was always open to me. I spent many nights there as a teenager and I came to love and appreciate her so much. She taught me how to eat cheese and apples together :). I had real Italian Mostaccioli for the first time at her house! She often gave me “boy’ advice and we had many laughs in her home. When I was in Nursing school she typed papers for me and my almost 50 page Nursing Care Plan paper and stayed up all night doing it!!! She was a great housekeeper and can iron like a professional! She was funny and witty and would tell you what she thought; sometimes without a censor :). She was very loving and warm. I have such fond memories of my teenage years at her house. We kept in touch over the years and she was always happy to hear from me and get my Christmas card and pictures. She touched many people in her life and through her children whom she loved fiercely. Rest in peace Mrs. Miller……….you are loved and remembered. Angela (Greer) Carpenter
