Obituary

Patricia "Patty" Ann McNew, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on March 27, 2025, in Newport, Michigan, at the age of 77. Born June 15, 1947, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Patty lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her family and passions.

Patty spent her career as a veterinarian tech at a local animal clinic, where her love for animals was evident in the work she did.

Beyond her professional life, Patty had a zest for bowling and was a cherished member of the "Our Gang" bowling league, where she served as secretary and treasurer for an impressive 30 years.  In her leisure time, Patty enjoyed reading, crocheting, and most importantly, spending time with her family.

Patty was preceded in death by her loving parents, Stanley and Sophie Nowaczeski. She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Ron; her devoted daughters, Lianne (Mark) Miller and Kelly (William) McNew; her cherished grandchildren, Stephanie, Olivia, Branigan, Arianna, and Drake; and her precious great-grandchildren, Lola, Averie, and Arya. Patty also leaves behind her dear siblings, Georgene, Nancy, John, and Jennifer, who will miss her dearly.

Her family and friends will forever remember Patty for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.

Condolences

  • I am so sad to hear about Patty's passing. I always hoped that we would get together again and share our past about her Mother, my Aunt Sophie and her family, and my Mother, Helen and their sister Aunt Mary. Patty was always so kind and thoughtful and gentle. I loved talking with her whenever that happened. She was one of the best. Dale Robinson To Ron and Patty's Family
