Obituary

Robert Keith Morden, born on January 17, 1956, in Trenton, Michigan, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025, in Woodhaven, Michigan, at the age of 69.

Robert was a man of great kindness, a gentle soul who found joy in both the wild and domesticated creatures that enriched his life. An avid animal lover, he dedicated much of his time to rescuing animals and providing them with the care and affection they needed. His compassion extended beyond animals to the people around him, as evidenced by his selfless decision to donate a kidney to his brother Bill 38 years ago this month.

A lover of the great outdoors, Robert found peace and happiness in fishing, often accompanied by storytelling sessions that showcased his exceptional sense of humor. His stories, filled with warmth and laughter, will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of hearing them.

Robert is preceded in death by his loving parents, William Morden, Sr. and Alice Morden, and his dear sister, Mary Alice Carroll, along with her husband, Andrew.

He leaves behind a family who adored him: his brothers, Bill (Joette) Morden and David (Laurie) Morden. He was a cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews, David (Stephanie), Brandon, Joe (Kori), Phillip (Kate), Sydney, and Chase, and a beloved great uncle to many. His legacy of kindness and humor will live on in their hearts.

Robert's gentle spirit and generous heart touched many lives, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Donations may be made to Michigan Humane.

  • It is so sad to see that Bob has passed away. My favorite memories of him was when I was a child. He and Aunt Alice would come to our house and watch the Detroit Tiger's baseball games. RIP. Rolinda McKnight
