Sally Ann Messer, age 64, of Flat Rock, was called home by our Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 7, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Clayton Messer, to whom she was married for 45 years, loving mother of Tom (Lisa) Messer and Brandy (Mike) Tierney, and dear grandmother of Kelsey, Sarah, Samantha, Aaron, Maximus, and Clayton. Sally enjoyed spending time with her family very much. She especially loved going to the cottage to relax and fish, playing cards and Yahtzee, going to Bingo, visiting her family in West Virginia and Florida, making sure her home and yard were both immaculate at all times, collecting (way too many) frog figurines, and making sure that each of her children and grandchildren had their own specific wrapping paper for the Christmas gifts she and Clay got them, even wrapping every item in their stockings with that same paper. Besides her husband, children, and grandchildren mentioned above, Sally is also survived by her sister, Doris Tompkins, and her brother, Rondal (Liliane) Chambers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Girlda Chambers, and her brother, C.A. “Jimmy” Chambers. She will be interred at Michigan Memorial Park immediately following the Funeral Service. You may view her obituary and share condolences at mimemorial.com.
