Obituary

Stacy Alberta Measel, affectionately known as Dolly, peacefully passed away on June 16, 2024, in New Boston, Michigan. Born on July 6, 1959, in Pontiac, Michigan, she lived a life filled with love and cherished moments by the beach.

At the age of 64, Stacy is survived by her devoted husband Wesley Measel Jr., loving son Edward Measel, daughter-in-law Casey Measel, and adored grandson Logan. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Carmen Atkinson.

Stacy was a frequent concert-goer and loved to dance; like all the time! She enjoyed going on random adventures to places, travelling and exploring the Carribbean Islands, Mexico, and was often in Florida. Most of all, she really enjoyed spoiling her grandson and taking him places.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Stacy's life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 7:00 PM. May she rest in eternal peace, forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Condolences

  • Wes, Ed, Casey and Logan, We are so sorry for your loss. Stacy is in God's loving arms now and not in any pain. Please know that we are thinking of you and praying for you all. We certainly had some good times at Houghton Lake and after. Sending our love your way and hoping you can find comfort in lasting memories. Sharon and Ross Huetteman
  • Wes, Ed, Casey and Logan, May the wonderful memories shared carry you though this most difficult time. There are so many great memories to look back on. Anyone who knows Stacey, knows she had the most memorable laugh! I will forever carry it. She loved shopping and I was always so happy to see her pop into my work. Growing up, our Houghton Lake moments are ones that will always stay in my heart. Every time you visit a beach, know she is there 💜 Sending all my love and support, Becky (Tyler, Alaina, Alyssa and Mason) Becky Martin
  • Wes, my condolences to you and your family. Stacy was a joy to be around. She was the first friend I made after moving to Michigan about 7 years ago. She was so welcoming and a wonderful person to be around. She will be truly missed. God bless and knows she is now resting well. Sean and Bradley
