Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Edward Marshall, who departed this world on May 6, 2025, at the age of 66. Born in Wyandotte on April 11, 1959, Steven spent his final days in Sumpter Township, surrounded by the family he cherished and the memories he held dear.

Steven was a man of simple pleasures and profound kindness, who found immense joy in fishing, motorcycle riding, and working on his many inventions. His greatest love, however, was reserved for his family and helping those around him. He touched countless lives with his generosity and warmth.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Yvonne Haines, and his devoted children: Jacki (Tavio) Ortiz, Steve (Jodie) Marshall, Stephanie (Kamil) Shammout, and Vanessa Marshall. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Atari (William), Aeris, Mateo, Gus, Breydon, Steven Jr., Bobbi-Jo, Zara, Myles, William, and Henry, and his great-grandchild, Jonah.

Steven will be deeply missed by his surviving siblings: Debi (Dennis) Winters, Carol (the late Pete) McCulley, Dan (Madell) Marshall, and Cheryl (Dennis) Meihn, as well as his sister-in-law, Betty Marshall, and many loving nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Marshall, sister Diane (Gerald) McGahan, and brothers Dave Marshall and Rich Marshall.

Steven's unwavering love, compassion, and dedication to his family and friends will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who knew him.
