Through her non-profit and team of volunteers, Moore provided clothing, books, and toys for over 15,000 children and families in Southeast Michigan. Teresa started Adopt-A-Child Size before retiring from Wayne County Regional Educational Service Agency (RESA), where she served as Director of Human Resources, Director of Student Staff Relations, and Social Worker for Head Start Programs. Teresa’s passion for enhancing people’s lives spanned a 60-year career that began with earning degrees in Social Work from Ohio State University (Bachelor’s degree) and the University of Michigan (Master’s degree). Moore is survived by her daughters Valerie Myers and Erica Myers, sister Marilyn (David) Wash, aunt Eloise (Peak) David, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, bonus grandchildren, neighbors, friends, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. sisters. • Dear cousins Valerie and Erica, although I was Aunt "T's" niece by marriage, I felt like she was truly an auntie to not only David, but to me and Jayden as well. She exuded love and never hesitated to share a smile, a kind word or a hug. She had a knack for telling you what she really thought so that you knew it was coming from a place of love and concern. She left a lasting impression on us all with her dedication and service to the community in which she lived. She touched our lives, our hearts and no doubt the lives of many others. We feel blessed to have known her and she will be dearly missed. David, Loreen and Jayden Fields
  • Erica and Valerie, We are so sorry for the loss of your beloved mother. She was a kind, thoughtful, and sweet human being. You were blessed to have her as a mother. She was also very special to Dewayne and I. Always delightful to talk as you could hear the smile in her voice. She will be truly missed. May the Lord wrap you in His arms and give you peace and comfort as you embark upon your grief journey. We love you and are here for you with whatever you need. ❤ May your mom rest in total peace.🙏 Sonji and DeWayne
