Obituary
Thomas Earl McGhen passed away peacefully on June 26th, 2024, at his longtime home in Romulus, MI. He was born in Dearborn Michigan on December 23rd, 1955, to his loving parents Harry “Jim’’ and Dorothy (Cottrell) McGhen. He graduated from Romulus High School in 1974 where he made many life-long friends.
Tom lived his life full of good times with friends and family. He loved to ride his Honda motorcycle and attended many horse and auto racing events all over the country. He was known to all as a loyal friend and he always looked out for the underdog. He had infectious laugh that will be missed. From heaven he will be waiting with his father, like the rest of us, for a Lions Super Bowl win.
Tom was predeceased by his parents and many aunts and uncles, who all adored “Tommy”. He is survived by his sister, Paula (Conley) Smith, his aunt MaryAnn (McGhen) Ryznar, his nephews Bret (Amy) Smith and Scott Smith, great nephews Kody and Kyle Smith, Nother Brother of Donnie Makowski as well as countless loving cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family invites those who wish to pay their respects to a visitation at Michigan Memorial Cemetery in Flat Rock on Monday from 2-7PMfollowed by a Funeral Service on Tuesday at 11AM.
