Obituary

MORIN Thomas G., age 76, of Grosse Ile, April 16, 2022. Beloved husband of Sharon Morin. Loving father of Kim (Marc) Carney, Amy (Geoffrey) Havens, Carrie Schabel and Bethany (Gary) Gray. Dearest grandfather of Katie Carney, Chase Havens, Kamryn Carney, Marina Havens, Allie Schabel, Chad Carney, Benson Schabel, Caroline Gray, Anna Gray and Sullivan Gray. He is also survived by his siblings Raymond Morin, Helen Brohl, Denise (Jack) Arora and his sister-in-law Jan Biddle. Thomas loved music, it was a passion of his. He was self-taught and played bass guitar in several bands over the years. He also recorded his own album. He loved spending time with family, friends and playing Santa for his grandchildren at Christmas. Thomas worked 29 years for the U.S. Postal Service and retired in 2007. He loved the water and enjoyed boating, as well as visiting the family cottage in Irish Hills. He is loved by his family and will be missed by everyone that knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Maria Morin and his brother Charles Morin. His cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
