  • Val was a member of our Club and will be dearly missed. We were lucky enough that he and Dorene came to the New Years Eve dinner dance at the V.F.W.. It was so nice to spend the evening with them both. Our deepest sympathy to the family. Fairlane Ballroom Dance Club
  • Our hearts are so sad for the loss of this special man. We have been friends for almost fifty years. So many memories of good times when we were young, and if visits to Alpena and Fort Myers beach. Val was such a strong man, and a genuine master craftsman. Anyone who saw his beautiful work in the homes he built would recognize it anywhere. The mantels and curved staircases he built were works of art. Val took great pride in his work and it showed. Hopefully the pain of his passing will be softened by the memories of the family times spent over the years by Lake Huron, and by the love he had for all his family. We will hold his memory in our hearts always. We pray for God's blessing for you all. Gary and Celia Harton
