Obituary

Veronica Fay Montayne, born on March 8, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on August 25, 2025, in Southgate, Michigan, at the age of 71.

Veronica dedicated her life to her work as a skilled cosmetologist, where she found joy in helping others feel their best. Her kind heart and creative spirit were evident in all she did. Beyond her professional life, Veronica was a devoted homemaker who loved baking and cooking, always finding new ways to bring warmth and comfort into her home.

A natural crafter, she spent countless hours creating beautiful works that brought joy to those around her. Above all, she was known as the best mom, whose love and dedication were unwavering.

Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, George and Loretta Trouten, and her siblings, David, Nelson, John, and Gloria. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Pamela Montayne, and her cherished siblings, Iva Thompson, James (Barbara) Trouten, Patricia Fite, and Sharon (Archie) Hamilton. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly, along with her best friend, Terry Donati, who stood by her through all of life’s moments.

Veronica will be fondly remembered for her generosity, kindness, and the love she shared with everyone she met. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
