  • William Leroy McCandless III Born on September 7th 1963 Passed on September 14th 2019 Also Known as Bill, Billy, Dad, Uncle Bill, Seville Bill, Dollar, $Bill, Brother and Papa $ My name is John Fitzgerald Adams. Also known as Johnny, Quincy, Johnny A, Uncle John, Quince, Brother and last but not least “SPEEN”. Many may not know that Dollar and I are not related, rather we are connected by “CHOICE”. Welcome “FAMILY” “LA Familia” loosely translated to “One’s Family DNA simply is not a requirement! It never was for Bill nor will it ever be for you or those you love and cherish. In true $Bill fashion…I believe he unselfishly donated his life for us to unite as one. Each of you became a member of the McCandless Family the moment you met him. Those that never had the privilege to meet Bill in person actually became brother or sister thru the countless social media posts, organizations and charity events Bill created, joined or supported with his “Unbelievable” generosity of love, time and money. We will continue to Live…Love…Laugh together with Honor, Courage and Commitment. Let’s join $Bill in a spiritual last ride…He will take us through the years on a ride with his Heavenly Road Captain…The Holy Ghost. You know the destination my son…Dollar flashes “THE SMILE”, drops it into 1st Gear…raps the throttle and eases out the clutch. We all roll out… The wind in his face now, $ checks his mirrors…looking back… Family…Friends…Hockey…Cars…Love…Change…Challenges…in Love…Holly…Marriage…Fatherhood…Son…in love…Nick…Family…work. The engine roars Billy hits 2nd gear and throttles up! His Road Captain at his side, and the sun warm on their faces. Bill looks forward as The Holy Ghost presents a Daughter…in love…Amanda…Family…work. Bill wipes the sweat from his brow, as we all slow down to see his youngest blessing Son…in love…Lance. Once again gaining speed we lean into a curve in the road as Dad…Lenny crosses the road to Heaven. The Road Captain assures us all is well by pulling ahead of Seville Bill for a moment allowing him to hand signal farewell and to adjust in the saddle for the road ahead. Dollar Bill cracks the throttle hard as 3rd gear pulls him away from the pack for a moment. The pack catches up, as we all approach the turns in the rolling hills ahead. Steamer’s scoot back fires, as a call to attention…be alert for objects in the road! We all safely navigate the next few miles using skill and patience combined with our love for the road to come closer together. Tightly grouped a chosen few join our ranks. #2 grabs us by surprise…Denise comes along for the ride…little Lauren hangs on tight. Bridges are built and miles are traveled. Young Nicholas finds sunshine in his eyes and love in his heart. The currency crew united, Brothers by Choice brings along our sisters. Shifting into 4th gear now, another lane opens as #3 merges into the fast lane. It is truly a beautiful thing when properly performed…seeing a large pack gain the lane while tightly formed. Thundering up the incline with all exhaust in tune…God himself must surely be with us. Eyes now focused on the road ahead…Dollar sets the cruise control… relaxing his grip…The Lord passes Bill a flower with timing and grace…the thorns bring life to the fading numbness…a Blue Rose now in his grip…safely placed inside his CUT for the duration of this trip. We have reached the top of this hill climb…RPMs on the gauge suggest a shift is near, $ pushes harder with a smile and a tear…so in love…Phyllis…The Holy Ghost takes us all into 5th gear In real time, it seems we hit fifth gear a lot faster…Right? There a few things in slow motion on this ride, in comparison to Eternity. The pack sees thing differently from each position…head on swivel. Countless things run thru the mind when on two wheels…words and images come and go…Coach, a shot, he scores! Mentor, self-taught draftsman, natural salesman…entertainer…coworker and gambler. Those in cages, trucks, planes, trains all searching for that certain feeling…special place…the one! This trip had its mishaps, traffic jams and missed gears. We focused on the other things we saw, felt and loved…drink…drank…drunk? Holidays…Party Buses…Christmas Eve …shopping…coupons…golf…Vodka n Orange juice…Jager Bombs…Captain n Diet…maybe a shot of Fireball or 2,3,4 or more. Clubhouses…burnouts…bikes and babes too! An athlete, a game, a broken chain…Sweetie…Sugar…Lil Dollar. California here I come! Ohio was not that fun. A balloon escapes to the sun…good bye Mom our luv is not done. Better singer than a poet…always a stage…a microphone…a song…no doubt there is room for more…Grandbabies touching hearts…healing hurts…imparting truth and wisdom…tears of joy and disbelief…bowling…softball…Race Dogs in the past. Disco dancer with the moves…brotherhood and church. Our cups filled to overflowing…love and heartache…nowhere near, the end of the road…just thoughts and memories…LETS KEEP IT GOING! Random shit with good intentions…possibly poor execution? The call is made and answered. $Bill squeezes the clutch and smoothly shifts into 1st gear…his license plate gone in blink…his Road Captain at his side…his ride to Heaven…the beginning…of a new ride. The pack rolls on…6th gear for us now…somehow not enough to catch up this time! Let’s do this again…hard as it may be…together we will ride…just please please make the call. God is listening…The children are laughing…You are near…no need to call…We kiss on the lips…bring it in for a hug…never know when, but the why…how…or what does not matter. The words have stopped for the moment…I know it’s not the end…just live…love…laugh my friends… ~Speens Always~ John Fitzgerald Adams

  • I met you once at a benefit ride when we stopped at your club house. You gave me a wooden coin inviting me back to the club for a drink. You were such a great guy, when I explained that I was a retired police officer, and maybe you wouldn't want me there; you thought for a second and then graciously invited me back to the club anytime! I thought right then and there "this guy is a good guy, a leader, top shelf, class act!" Fast forward a few years later and I met your brother, Fiddy. He is my Service Advisor at Motown Harley Davidson. He has always been so good to me, keeping his word; always helpful. It isn't hard to see that he is $Bill's brother. So even though I don't know your family well, I know the kind of people that you are; and I send my heartfelt condolences, and my prayers for your entire family; as well as the Joker family. ❤ Karen Codere
  • May God watch over your families and friends. I lived next door the this family since the boys were children, I've many fond memories and will hold them in my heart forever. God Bless Denise Quiroz
  • $Bill, to put into words my condolences, there are simply not enough but I will try my best! The short time I knew you, I learned of how much of a wonderful man you were. You'd give the shirt off your back to anyone who needed it, you'd lend an ear to anyone who needed someone to listen, you'd give your shoulder for someone who needed to cry, you'd voice your words of wisdom and advice to anyone who felt lost and needed guidance. You had the biggest golden heart. You left a mark on all the lives who've encountered you. I can say for myself, I will never forget and will always be grateful for the help you and Phyllis gave me when I needed it. You were a great husband, father, and brother. You were the reason the party kept going! All of the jaeger bombs, captain and cokes, rock and roll jams, and all the fun memories I have. There was simply never a dull moment. You were taken way too soon from your loved ones, but your legacy will never be forgotten. I am honored to say I had the ability to know you, even if it was a short time. Thank you for all of the memories Dollar.. and keep the riding going in the sky! DOLLA DOLLA BILL YALL!!! ♡♡ Marie H.
  • I was very saddened to hear the news. So young, so much more time to be had. It's true that you wake up everyday, never knowing when that morning is going to be your last morning. The memories I hold dear to my heart for many reasons, but you were always a big part of them. I remember our trip to vegas. It was a blast. Waiting for the uber outside the hotel to go to Margarita ville for dinner and you stealing my drink in the car cuz you ran out. It was a good laugh for everyone in the car. The Christmas parties where I would sit next to you downstairs and sing with you while we were both feeling no pain. Lol. You were always the best at the air guitar. No matter where we were, you were always singin your classic rock and strummin those imaginary strings. I always remember that skull ring that you wore on your pinky finger. I've looked at that ring so many times that its permanently embedded into my head. From fires at the Mcsweeney's to the Dfrost fun and the burnouts that you'd do with the biggest clouds of smoke, burning an inch of tread at a time.....you were always the life of the party. You will be missed by many many many, people. No matter if Craig and I are divorced now or not, we still shared a ton of laughs and family times together. You were what held the family fun together. Ride high up there dollar. You were and are once of a kind. RIP Lori
  • You will be very sorely missed, Brother. You were a light when there was none and the epidome of leading by example. Heaven gained a beautiful soul but it came as a loss for us all. RIP and I'll see you on the other side. Thankful to have been able to meet you and call you Brother. Steddy
  • Bill you are the kindest , most compassionate, fun loving family man and friend that I’ve ever known. That infectious smile, sense of humor and power packed personality will never be forgotten. May you now dance, sing and ride with the angels my friend. Vickey Campbell
  • Bill’s love of life was only eclipsed by his authenticity and friendly attitude towards others. While we didn’t know him well, we could always count on him to be accepting and engaging to everyone who entered his life. The world is a lesser place without him and it was our distinct pleasure to have met him. Our condolences to all of those that called him family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Mike and Nishia Leebron
  • The laughs, the giggles, the love. That infectious smile. The love he had with his Rose. Our hearts are so broken, and yet...as I look back on 20 plus yrs of knowing you....all my thoughts are making me smile. • Hugs and Prayers go out to the entire McCandless family and his Club Brothers. Bill's smile, sense of humor and that "raucous" laugh that he had will never be forgotten. And Thanks Bill for all the wonderful times I had at the rink coaching with you and mentoring the kids. You were an important part of their lives. Can still remember holding you back from "jackin" the opposing coach at Lincoln Park Ice Arena, then us all laughing about it afterwards. Steve Partlow
