Christine Norris, born on August 26, 1929, in the serene landscapes of White County, Tennessee, passed away on November 1, 2025, in Lapeer, Michigan, at the age of 96.
Christine dedicated her life to her family and her faith, embodying the virtues of kindness and devotion throughout her years. She worked diligently as a seamstress for General Motors, where her attention to detail and craftsmanship were admired by many. Beyond her professional endeavors, Christine had a passion for sewing and crocheting, creating beautiful handmade treasures that she often shared with loved ones.
Her kitchen was a warm gathering place, where she lovingly prepared meals and baked goods, nurturing her family and friends with her culinary talents. Christine's unwavering faith was central to her life, and she found great joy and solace in her many years attending the Fairlane Assembly of God, where she was a beloved member of the congregation.
Christine was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Lester Norris; her son, Stephen Norris; her parents, Claude and Maude Young; and her sister, Lorrine Briggs. Her memory will be cherished by her surviving family: her grandchildren, Jennifer (James) Zinke and Daniel (Jessica) Norris; her great-grandchildren, Adrienne Zinke, Ethan Zinke, and Gabriel Norris; and her daughter-in-law, Susan Norris.
Christine Norris's legacy is one of love, warmth, and dedication, leaving behind a tapestry of precious memories for her family and all who knew her.
