Beloved mother, sister, wife and grandmother. Born in Wyandotte, Michigan on January 17,1937 to Clarence and Ethel Fields. Settled in Romulus in 1962 with Bruce Niergarth, the love of her life where they raised 4 children. She retired from Romulus High School as the head cook. She enjoyed yard work, going to the casino and her afternoon tea (but her family knew it was wine). She was the beloved wife of the late Bruce Niergarth, devoted mother of Joan (Dave) Henry, Donald (Kim) Niergarth, Tina Hunt and Tamara Niergarth. Loving grandmother of Jessica Peterman, Kristine Niergarth, Stephanie Bergsieker, A.J. Riopelle, Brian Niergarth, Anthony Riopelle and the late Robert Minton and great-grandmother of Alexander, Leela, Brayden and Damon. She is also survived by her sisters Louise Grzincic of Missouri and Linda Ingle of Wyandotte and her brother Robert Fields of South Carolina. She is preceded in death by her brother Albert Fields. Her cremation will take place at "The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
