Eileen Louise Nickert, born on September 14, 1946, in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 20, 2025, in Wyandotte, Michigan, at the age of 78. Her life was a testament to joy, resilience, and the power of friendship.
Eileen dedicated many years of her professional life to an administrative position in financial reporting at Dun & Bradstreet, where she retired with a legacy of diligence and integrity. Her work was marked by a commitment to excellence and a warm camaraderie with her colleagues.
Beyond her career, Eileen found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved the thrill of visiting casinos, especially during her cherished trips to Las Vegas with her sister Louise. Her love for games extended to playing cards with friends at Bellaire, where laughter and companionship were always in abundance. In her younger days, Eileen was an avid bowler, a sport that brought her much happiness and many friendships.
Eileen's faith was an important part of her life, and she was a devoted member of Christ The King Church. Her spiritual journey was one of kindness, compassion, and unwavering belief.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chuck (Charlie) Nickert, and her sister, Marlene Dunne-Kaul, Eileen leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her loving sister Louise (Max Sturgeon) Hamilton, nephew Carl (Jessica) Chamberlin, and great-nephews Chase and Jack. Eileen also leaves behind her treasured group of friends from high school, past coworkers, and her dear friends from Bellaire Senior Living.
Eileen's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and enduring friendships. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her, reminding us all to cherish each moment and live with grace and gratitude.
