Ethel Nemeth, a cherished member of her family, passed away in South Lyon, Michigan. Born on April 24, 1933, in Tapolcafő, Hungary, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Nemeth. Ethel grew up surrounded by her siblings: Joseph, Zoltan, Julius, Louis, Mary, Helen, and Irene, all of whom have preceded her in death.
Ethel's life was marked by her devotion to her faith and her family. She found great joy and solace in her involvement with the Church, where she nurtured lasting friendships and a strong sense of community.
An exceptional cook, Ethel expressed her love through food and was legendary within her family for her delicious apricot cookies and deviled eggs. Above all, she deeply loved being around children, finding immense happiness in the energy and laughter of the youngest generations.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her niece and nephew, Laurie (Robert) Melavey and Louis (Lynda) Nemeth, along with many other cherished nieces and nephews. Her legacy of kindness, warmth, and hospitality continues through her great-nieces and great-nephews: Samantha (Joshua), Autumn, Alina, Laila, Nolan, Tiara (Brian), Amanda (Marcel), Laura, and many additional great-nieces and nephews. The next generation carries her spirit in her great-great-nieces and nephews: Maci, Kendal, Dahlia, Seraphina, and one soon to join the family. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Karen and Emi, who will cherish her memory.
Ethel will be remembered for her unwavering love for those around her. Her memory will forever reside in the hearts of her family and friends, who will cherish the time spent with her and the love she shared so freely.
