Obituary

Janice Louise Northam, aged 82, of Saline, Michigan passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025. Born on July 3, 1942, in Houtzdale, Pennsylvania, Janice graced the world with her kind spirit and loving heart.

Through the years, Janice found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, from knitting and crocheting to solving jigsaw puzzles. An avid reader, she often found solace in the pages of a good book. She held a deep affection for card games, delighting in matches of pinochle and gin with family and friends.

Janice was introduced to her late husband, Chuck Northam, by her uncle while Chuck served in the Air Force. Their enduring love story spanned nearly 63 years, marked by cherished memories and their shared enjoyment of life in Tennessee. Together, they crafted a loving home centered around their two sons, Walt (Sheryl) Northam and Ed (Mary) Northam.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Janice treasured her family above all. She found immense pride in her grandchildren, Stephanie, Kevin, Thea, and Emi, nurturing them with the same love and care she gave to her own children. Her compassion extended beyond her immediate family as she selflessly cared for her parents, Walter and Ernestine Love, in their later years.

Janice is reunited in peace with her beloved husband Chuck, her parents, and her brother Gary Love. Her legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will live on through her surviving family, including her cherished sons and grandchildren.

Those who knew Janice remember her as a loving and caring soul who would do anything for anyone. Her gentle presence and unwavering generosity left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace, forever remembered with love and gratitude.

In lieu of flowers the family appreciates memorial donations made out to The American Heart Association.
