Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kristen Verconia Nowakowski, affectionately known to many as "Sparkler ," who left us on November 23, 2024, at the age of 44. Born on March 19, 1980, in Trenton, Michigan, Kristen's vibrant spirit and zest for life touched all who knew her.
Kristen was a woman of many passions. She had an eye for beauty and found joy in hair, makeup, and shoes, combining these elements into a unique expression of her personality. She loved shopping and could often be found exploring stores, searching for the perfect addition to her collection. Her love of music was boundless, appreciating all genres and the way they enriched her life.
One of Kristen's favorite places was the beach. Although she preferred staying in the shade, avoiding the sun, the sound of the waves and the feel of the sand brought her peace and happiness.
Kristen is survived by her loving parents, Paul Gordan Jones and Lynn Metteri Jones, who cherished her dearly; her beloved son, Andrew Daniel Nowakowski, who was the light of her life; as well as her devoted sisters, Lizzie Stenger, and her husband, Jim, their children Anna Stenger (Nicholas Carver), and Claire Stenger, Em Finger, and her husband, Eric. Andrew's father, Dan Nowakowski, along with his wife, Deb. She will be deeply missed by her best friend, Ellen Maliszewski, and her husband, Scott. Kristen will also be missed by the dearly loved family dogs Lucy and Sweetie as well as many cousins, aunts, and uncles who will miss her dearly.
Kristen's family and friends will forever remember her as a spirited and dynamic individual whose presence brought warmth and laughter into every room. Her legacy as a "Sparkler " will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who hold her memory dear.
