- It is with great shock and heavy hearts that we received the news of Mike's passing last weekend. Everyone at Brad Smith Motorsports is still in disbelief at what happened. Mike was well-known and respected in the racing community and will truly be missed. Most importantly he was a true friend that we enjoyed working with. We met Mike during our mini sprint indoor racing days with Midwest Indoor Racing Series. He was a sweet, kind hearted guy who always had a smile and looked out carefully for the safety of the racers.
