Carolyn Jo Okonkowski, 78, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Born on March 4, 1947, in Southfield, Michigan, Carolyn lived a life rooted in love, faith, and compassion. She was the devoted wife of 48 years to Edward Okonkowski, with whom she built a home filled with warmth and love.
A proud grandmother, Carolyn treasured every moment spent with her granddaughters, Olivia and Sophia, who brought immense joy to her life. She shared a deep and special bond with her son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Caroline, whose presence meant the world to her. Carolyn is preceded in death by her beloved son Bryan Okonkowski and her parents, John and Marcella Burch.
Carolyn’s love for nature and animals was as much a part of her as her gentle spirit. She found peace in the outdoors and adored her cats, who were constant sources of comfort and affection. Her commitment to her church reflected her strong faith and her heartfelt devotion to the Lord, guiding her daily life and the way she treated others.
A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Carolyn touched countless hearts with her kindness, genuine smile and her gentle spirit. Her legacy of love, faith, and compassion will forever live on in the lives of all who knew her.
