Condolences

  • Dave and I were part of Jimmies volleyball family for many years. He was always a wonderful presence on and off the court. We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to his family. He was a gift to all of us and we will honor his memory by carrying on his steady competitiveness, sportsmanship and true respect for others. May God welcome this faithful servant into His loving arms and seat him at His heavenly table. Prayers will be offered this coming Divine Mercy Sunday and a candle will be lit in his honor at Queen of Peace Church in Ocala, Florida. In God’s Peace Dave and Sandy Pongratz and Family
  • Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Papa Ozment was a very kind man. Glad the great grandchildren will have memories of him. Lynn & Jeff Tomlinson
  • I'm Jimmie's niece and I just wanted to add something about him that many do not know! When Jimmie was born, My grandmother and grandfather let the older boys, Howard and Arney name him. They named him after pro baseball players. Jimmie Fox and Lou Gehrig hence why it was not James!! He lived up to the names. We went to a game when I was little and he was awarded the trophy of" most valuable player". He was always a sportsman and really did excel in all the sports he was involved in. Our family always thought the world of our uncle Jimmie. Thank the Lord for our family. Our faith, love and support treasured memories, Denise and family Jimmie Lou Ozment
  • I knew Mr. Ozment as my Gym Teacher at Harms Elementry in Detroit. I have found memories of him while I was there. He was very kind and patient with (us) the young grade school kids. Although, we weren’t crazy about the square dancing part of his curriculum. 😆 I always thought that he had a strong resemblance to the singer Andy Williams and one day I was brave enough to tell him. He just looked at me and said “really?”. I said yes…and he laughed. I then asked him if he could sing too…he just laughed and shook his head and said no.😄 It is great to know that he had a long and active life that he enjoyed. My sincere condolences to his Family and Friends…May he RIP Cheryl (Montague) Wagner
  • Mr. Ozment was my PE teacher starting in 1964 harms elementary School in Detroit. He was a great teacher and a very kind man. He will never be forgotten. RIP Mr. Ozment Kimy Gibson
