Obituary

O’GRADY, Patrick J., age 63, of Wyandotte, December 3, 2019. Beloved father of Madelyn K. Jackson. Loving brother of Rita (Robert) Vredenburg, Joseph (Sharonn) O’Grady and Janice (Steven) Baber. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Rita, brother, James O’Grady, sister Kathleen O’Grady and a brother, Peter O’Grady. He is also survived many nieces and nephews.

He was genuinely the funniest person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. If he was your friend he would like the song by Brian Adams he would fight for you he die for you walk the wire for you. He was just living like a true believer in Jesus Christ. Heaven was his ultimate goal to be with his savior. Everyone who knew him loved him you couldn’t not love him his sweet and gentle spirit. To the family of Patrick, I am broken hearted to hear of Patrick passing away. I was blessed to be able to work beside him for many years. I can truly say I never once heard him say a bad word about anyone. He was the kindest, most compassionate man I’ve ever known. Maddie, you were so loved by your dad. Whenever he talked about you his eyes would light up! I have missed seeing him in the last many months, hearing his cheerful good morning and know that it will never quite be the same again. To the O'Grady family and beautiful Madelyn, Words will never be able to express my deepest sympathy on the loss of you father and brother. He was simply the kindest most compassionate person I have ever met. Patrick and I worked together for many years and his bright smile and kind ways always started my days well. We were more than co-workers, I am proud to say we were friends and I will cherish our friendship forever. We would text over the last 10 months and I would tell him I loved him and that I was praying for him and he would send his love back. What a gift that is to me. May you always know how much he was loved and how blessed you were (all of us were) to have him in your(our) life.
