  • A dear and loyal friend for 20+ years. Time and time again Robb was always a source of strength and inspiration. Some of the darkest moments in my life were brought to light thanks to Robb’s humor, positivity and selfless giving nature. No matter what he had going on in his life, Robb would always take time to listen and help others. Robb was a beaming example of a true friend. For 10+ years Robb joined me as a player coach in the Trenton Over 30 men’s hockey league. He kept us all laughing by referring to our league as “old man house hockey”. Every year about this time, he and I would start strategizing for the fall draft. I’ll never forget how Robb always prioritized players based on their character over talent. How guys performed in the locker room was way more important than how they played on the ice. Robb was the ultimate locker room guy, often staying at the rink til the wee hours of the night to help a fellow teammate. He made everyone around him a better person. I will miss the late night talks in the ice rink parking lot discussing everything from that nights game, playoff strategy, business and politics. Robb had a rare passion for helping people however he could. Anytime he learned something new he was quick to share it with others in hopes they could benefit as well - TRUE SELFLESSNESS. My heart and prayers go out to his family. God bless his wife Lori, daughters Shantal and Olivia, sons Robbi and Shawn, mother Cynthia and brothers Kelly and Chris. I hope you all can find peace in knowing Robb is playing “old man house hockey” on Gods team now.....pain free!! My deepest condolences, Dan Munoz Dan Munoz
  • Our deepest sympathy & condolences to the entire O'Brien Family on the passing of our friend Rob. Rob was a hockey player in our f.NHL senior hockey league in Southgate for a short time but was a solid player who came to us as a sub player covering for an injured player. He was officially drafted into our league the following year and played half a season when he was diagnosed with cancer. We talked often or corresponded as I would check in on him. Always with an upbeat attitude swearing he was going to beat this and return soon. I told him we are holding your spot for your return...... "May perpetual light shine upon him."
