Obituary

Roy Winston Oliver passed away in his home in Taylor, Michigan on July 25th, 2025. He was born in Noontootla, Georgia but moved to Michigan in his childhood.

Despite the move off the farm, his cowboy spirit always remained intact. He spent his early adulthood traveling the world and jumping from airplanes as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army. Once falling from the sky got boring, he settled down with his loving wife, Martha, to raise two daughters: Ginger and Michelle.

His presence was a dependable source of comfort and love in the lives of all who knew him. He had a sharp wit and sense of humor like no other, filling every moment with endless joy and laughter.

Above all, Roy was the biggest wise-guy around. A summer day never passed without him telling someone "don't get wet", as they jumped into the pool.

He is survived by his wife Martha, sister Mildred, daughters Ginger and Michelle, son-in-laws Rob (Terry) and Shawn, grandchildren Mallory, Terry, and Mackenzie, grandson-in-law Michael, and great-grandchildren Parker and Lucas.

Roy will always be remembered as the best and most loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and Pa that anyone could ever imagine.

We miss him dearly and his memory will be cherished in our hearts forever.

Condolences
