PAFFORD, Barbara A., age 73, of Flat Rock, MI. Barbara was a tremendous spirit who passed away April 9, 2014 after a brave and hard-fought battle with cancer. Powerfully loving mother of her son Jeff Pafford and daughter-in-law Linda of South Lyon, MI and daughter Michelle Helms and son-in-law Erik of Dartmouth, MA (formerly of Brighton, MI). Fun-loving “Nana” of Jeffrey Pafford Jr., and his wife Megan, Shawn Pafford, and Collin, Phoebe and Cade Helms. Barbara brought her zest for life to all that she did which included working as a pre-planner at Czopek Funeral Home in Wyandotte, MI and as a former member of the Dearborn Country Club and St. Roch’s choir in Flat Rock. A gifted story teller, Barbara enriched countless people’s lives by making them laugh and feel good. Above all, Barbara cherished the adventures, life events, every day moments and conversations that she shared with her family. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Pafford, her parents Steve and Dorothy Beskid and her beloved cat “Shadow.” A woman of great faith, Barbara’s vivacious personality and bright light will be remembered and continue to surround the friends and family whose lives she touched. Entombment in Michigan Memorial Park.
