Betty Lavern Povlich, a cherished resident of Brownstown, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on May 12, 1935, in Memphis, MI she brought joy and warmth to all who knew her throughout her long and fulfilling life.

Betty had a passion for boating and spent much of her leisure time enjoying the serenity and beauty of the water. She was a lifelong member of the Lincoln Beauman Archery Club and held dear her friendships within the MC Club Kings and Queens.

She is preceded in death by her beloved first husband, Michael J. Povlich, Jr., her second husband, Clarence E. Povlich, her son Danny, and her parents, father William (Irene) McGuffin and mother Mabel VanSickle, and her siblings Phyllis Westcott, Geraldine Harrison, William McGuffin, James McGuffin, Jack McGuffin, Earla VanHorn and Orey Rogers. Betty's steadfast love and devotion to her family will be remembered fondly by those she leaves behind.

She is survived by her loving children: Patricia (James) Aitchison, Michael (Terry) Povlich III, and John Povlich. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Jamie (Jason), Michael IV (Inger), Laura (Tatsu), Tommy, Alaina (Vincent), Danny Jr and John who will forever cherish their memories with their grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews and 11 β€œadopted” great grandchildren through Clarence.  Betty will also be missed by her siblings Virginia Meixner and Asa VanSickle.

Betty Povlich will be remembered not only for her dedication to her family and community but also for her bright spirit and the love she shared with those around her. May she rest in peace, her memory living on in the hearts of her family and friends.
