Obituary
Charlene Virginia Pettit, born on March 5, 1935, in Port Huron, Michigan, passed away on January 28, 2025, in Woodhaven, Michigan, at the age of 89.
Charlene was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, whose lively spirit and generous heart touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her interests were as varied as they were passionate; she was a talented crafter and seamstress, known for her beautiful needlework, sewing projects, and tie blankets she lovingly made for family and friends. Charlene also enjoyed bowling, a hobby that reflected her fiesty personality and joy for life.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband Clark, her parents Francis and Mildred Brewer, her son Richard, her brothers Robert and Donald, sisters, Sandra and Doris.
Charlene leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: her children Debra (Anthony) Perry, Denise Crider, and Katherine "Sue" (Thomas) Fagan; her step-children Kevin (Stacey) Pettit and Sherry (Darren) Hurley; her devoted sister Frances; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Timothy, Sean, Samantha, Dereck, Carly, Aaron, Catrina, Tommy, Jonathan, Daniel, Adam, Matthew, Steven, Kara and Nicholas; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be deeply missed by many friends who knew her for her warmth, kindness and generosity.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Charlene during the visitation on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a service to follow at 6:00 PM. Cremation will take place at "The Witness Crematory", located inside Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, with inurnment to follow in Michigan Memorial Park.
Charlene's generosity, creativity, and spirited nature will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
