Obituary
Christopher Alan Pozdol, a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on November 20, 2025, in Wyandotte, Michigan, at the age of 71. Born on April 7, 1954, in Dearborn, Michigan.
Christopher graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in business administration, which laid the foundation for his successful career at Unisys Corporation he later retired from. Throughout his life, he was known for his dedication to his work and his unwavering loyalty to colleagues and friends.
An avid golfer and bowler, Christopher found great joy in sports and was a passionate supporter of the Detroit Lions, sharing unforgettable moments of victory and defeat with fellow fans. He was deeply involved with the Knights of Columbus in Wyandotte, Michigan, where he gave generously of his time and energy to help those in need. Music was also a special part of Christopher’s life, playing instruments, in particular, the guitar and singing.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Michelle, and their cherished furry companions, Jemma, Moonshine, and Abby. His loving family includes his siblings, Mary (John) Ketelhut and Matthew Pozdol; his nieces and nephews, Jackie Pozdol, Daniel (Emily) Ketelhut, Cassidy Uchman, Courtney Sly, Neil Sly, and Olivia (Richie Click) Sly; and his great-nieces, Nora James Ketelhut and Madelyn Louise Ketelhut. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Dale (Nelia) Miller, and Tiffany (Dan Feasby) Uchman, along with many dear lifelong friends whose lives he touched.
Christopher was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Jackie; his brothers, Arthur J. Pozdol and Timothy Pozdol; his nephew, James "Jimmy" Ketelhut; and his sister-in-law, Julie Sly.
Christopher received an Honor Walk at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital prior to giving the gift of life through the donation of his organs and tissue, a final act of generosity that will live on in others.
Cremation has taken place at The Witness Crematory, located inside Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date, where family and friends can gather to celebrate Christopher’s life and share their treasured memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Christopher's memory to Gift of Life Michigan or The Juvenile Diabetes Association.
Christopher Alan Pozdol will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the love he shared with all who knew him. He will be missed deeply and forever cherished in our hearts.
