Obituary

Dale Prosise, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, in New Boston, Michigan, at the age of 85. Born on October 4, 1939, in Missouri, Dale lived a life marked by dedication to his family and his work.

Dale was a skilled diesel mechanic and carpenter, a profession he pursued with great pride and expertise. Beyond his work, he found immense joy in spending time with his beloved family and cherished the moments they shared together. An avid outdoorsman, Dale also enjoyed hunting, a pastime that brought him closer to his sons-in-law and grandsons.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Muriel; his parents, Nelson and Lilith Prosise; and his in-laws, Earl and Gertrude Strong. Dale's legacy lives on through his surviving family: his three devoted daughters, Jane (Keith) Kreyger, Trudi (Gregory) Piazza, and Mickey (Jerry) Wawrzyniec; his six grandchildren, Anthony (Julia) Kreyger, Tim (Erin) Kreyger, Jessica (Antoine Singer) Hughey, Ashley (Cameron Alguire) Hughey, Craig (Danielle) Wawrzyniec, and Dale Wawrzyniec; and his fourteen great-grandchildren, Shelby, Ella, Quentin, Laynie, Aubree, Kynlee, Landen, Liam, Karly, Kennedy, Alba, Sylvia, Elio, and Lucy. He will also be dearly missed by his close friends, Tom and Mary Boudrie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. A service to honor Dale's life will take place on May 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Following the service, Dale will be laid to rest at Michigan Memorial Park.

Condolences

  • I am broken hearted for your loss but so thankful his struggle is ended. I have known him my entire life and have so many memories of him. He took me on my first motorcycle ride and told me I didn't have to hold on so tight. There were camping trips up north a d so much more. And I will never forget the friendship he and my dad shared. Praying for all who loved him. Jeanie Swiontoniowski
  • We have known Dale and his amazing family for 40 years and we love love love them! Dale has made or fixed so many things around our home and farm and everywhere we look we are reminded of his astonishing talents and generosity. He was always ready to help with whatever he was needed for and that is something he passed down to his daughters, sons-in-law, grandkids and great grandkids. His family’s love is the biggest and best tribute to this incredible man’s life! He will be missed by us and countless others! Tom & Mary Boudrie
  • Dale Prosise was such an important part in the lives of his family and was so dearly loved, respected and cherished by all, and his presence in their lives has enriched and nourished them over the years. I have known Jane Kreyger, and by extension her family, for more than 30 years. If you know one Prosise, you likely know, or at least have met, the rest of the family. Their selfless devotion to family and friends has been inspired by Dale, as well as Muriel, and is evident in their everyday actions. His absence in their day-to-day lives will certainly be felt, but I know they will be consoled by the footprints he has left on their hearts. Claudia Westbrook
