Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Daniel Pusta, who left us on March 23, 2024, at the young age of 40. He had courageously battled stomach cancer for 3+ years, with his caring wife by his side.
Diddy or Dids, as he was fondly called by friends and family, was born on April 24, 1983, to George and Floare Pusta in Westland, MI. He grew up in Flat Rock, where he attended Woodhaven High School. He later worked in the automotive field, however, his true professional passion was carpentry.
To say Daniel was a hardworking and dedicated person would be an understatement! He was known for his calm demeanor and witty jokes, but most of all for his enormous heart. Daniel married the love of his life, Natasa Bita, on March 25, 2007. They parented two children, Noah and Juliete, who were the center of Daniel’s world. You’d always hear him tell them, “I love you with all my heart”.
Despite his busy schedule, Daniel always made time for his family and friends. He was a loving and caring individual who always had the answer for any type of home improvement project. Daniel had a great sense of humor and always knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face. In his free time, Daniel enjoyed escaping to Hawaii with his family and absolutely loved swimming in the ocean. He loved laughing, playing volleyball, watching Michigan football, and trying new foods. His devotion to God grew stronger even as every day got harder, never once complaining.
Daniel is survived by his devoted wife, Natasa; his precious children, Noah and Juliete; his parents, George and Floare; his siblings, Petru, Ioana (Phillip), Gheorghe (Shannon), Calin (Heather), Simona (Pavel), John (Nancy), Joseph (Courtney), Estera (Andrei), Rebecca (Liviu), Sarah (Bogdan), Michelle, Janet (Andrei), Deborah, and Naomi (Nathan); and an abundant number of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was blessed to be welcomed into the Bita family, and is survived by his mother-in-law, Iulieta (the late Petrea); brothers- and sisters-in-law, Estera, Radu (Dolores), Ilie (Rodica), Danny (Carmen), Julie (Marius), Dana (Gabriel), Peter (Stephanie), Cornel (Dania), and Damaris (Alex); and loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
We’ll leave you with his famous one-liner: “If you’re alright… I’m alright”. We have faith he is in a better place and free of suffering, so because he’s alright… we’re alright.
Rest in peace, Diddy. GBU.
