Obituary

PAPP, Diane M., age 73, of Taylor, November 07, 2015. Beloved wife of Raymond J. Papp. Loving mother of Michael (Kathy) Papp, Michele (Bruce) Strachan and Pamela Papp. Dear grandmother of Madison, Mike, Alexa, Mallory and Sam. She is survived by her sisters Charlotte, Judy and Kathy. She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Hattie Novack, her brother Joseph and sister Margaret. Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, (next to Michigan Memorial Park) 30895 Huron River Dr., Huron Twp., (734) 783-2646. Diane Marie was born in Wyandotte hospital on March 1st 1942. She was the third daughter to Walter and Hattie Novack. She spent her childhood on Antoine Street, where her and her 6 siblings ran with other large Polish Wyandotte families and at Saint Stans Church in Wyandotte. Her first job was at a flower shop in Wyandotte where she learned and cultured her love for living plants and beauty. At 17 she went to a dance at the K of C hall in Allen Park where she caught the eye of a young Dearborn man, Raymond J Papp. It was love at first sight and they started dating. They were married after a short romance on February 17th 1960. She then created lasting lifelong friendships with Phyllis and Rosie. They started their family in Dearborn where Michael R Papp was born November 10th 1962, Michele L Papp was born July 4th 1964, and Pamela D Papp was born August 1st 1967. Ray and Diane raised their family with a very large extended family where all branches were represented. Diane and Ray opened a Honda Motorcycle shop in Livonia called ‘Wonderland Sales’, where Ray work to support the family. With that shop came a bunch of toys that led many years of camping, motorcycling, skiing and snowmobiling. In 1975, Diane and Ray took a huge step and moved to Grosse Ile, Mi., to start another phase of life. With all the children in school Diane became a Real Estate agent for Thomas Tilley. This is where she excelled. In 1982 Diane became the Downriver Board of Realtors President. She continued in real estate, and eventually purchased Tilley Real Estate and created ERA Transworld with Marion Hall. Diane left the agency in 1986. Ray and Diane decided to move to Port Orange, Florida and become a real estate paralegal. Diane ended her career in 2006 working at Smith, Hood Perkins law firm.In 1991 she became a grandmother for the first time when Mickey was born. Being a Grandma would become her best accomplishment ever. Diane had Mickey, Alexa, Mallory, Sam and Madison to dote on and was the best Grandmother ever. She was a fun grandma and was very hands on when she was around them. Recently she spent time following them on Facebook and often texted Alexa and Mallory in their day to day life. Living only 5 miles away from Madison; she ended up spending the most time with her. She became her best friend. In 2013, after 26 years Grandma decided to leave sunny Florida and come back to snowy Michigan. She came In November right before Thanksgiving and the big snowfall. This was a good move for her but it caused her great sadness being so far away from all the grandbabies now. However she made the best of it by taking vacations to Connecticut to visit Mike, Kathy, and the kids. Madison and she took a quality time vacation every summer for the past 2 years. They went up to Northern Michigan where they went to Mackinaw Island and the Soo Locks.

Condolences
