POLI, Joanne C., age 82, of Newport, November 14, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Andrea Deno Poli. Loving mother of Andrea (Tim) Foucher, Dawn (Mike) Rogers, Suzette Poli, Jack Poli, Roxanne (Joel) Wensley and Mickey (Brian) Bartlett. Dearest grandmother of Samantha, Joshua, Anthony, Katie, Chelsea, Francesca, Courtney, Danielle, Joel, Michaela, Jessica, Nikki and RJ. Proud great grandmother of Holden, Hailey, Jaxen, Georgie, Hudson, Waylon, Lennox and Kory. She is survived by her dear sister Suzanne (Mike) Mahaney and her brothers Jack (Debbie) Ruhlman and George (Nancy) Ruhlman and is preceded in death by her parents Jacques and Mae Louise Ruhlman and her sister Mae Louise Jacques.Joanne (aka best Gram ever, Aunt Joannie or fun lady with the big hair) was a strong, loving, courageous, caring woman who brought great joy to her family. She rode a horse that threw her off, drove her best friend on a pony cart that tipped over, drove her son’s race car across the lawn at 70 mph, took a make-shift raft down an overflowing creek, rode roller blades while holding onto a chair and jumped on a pogo stick. She taught her children to love adventure, to laugh and to be generous to others. She would give you her last dollar, feed you spaghetti with her home-made sauce and wave to you until your car was long out of sight. She loved animals, cooking, bingo, the casino, gardening and swearing, but most of all she loved her family. Donations to www.alz.org in lieu of flowers will touch our hearts and help others. Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
