Obituary

John Gordon Partin, born on November 17, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on January 3, 2025, in Brownstown, Michigan, at the age of 69. He was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend who lived life with a passion for the open road and the great outdoors.

John spent many years as a dedicated general laborer for General Motors, where he left a lasting impression with his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Outside of work, John found joy and freedom in riding his motorcycle. As a proud member of the Iron Mustangs Motorcycle group in Detroit, Michigan, he built lasting friendships and unforgettable memories.

He had a profound love for nature and spent much of his time hunting, fishing, camping, and exploring the world around him, whether accompanied by friends or enjoying solitude.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Juanita Partin, and his sister, Brenda Partin. He will be dearly missed by his surviving family: sisters Denise (Theodore) Wagner and Donna Bravo, and his cherished nieces and nephews — David, Elizabeth (Dan) Lock, Robert Herdzik, Jennie (Emre) Cosar, Drake Herdzik, Evelyn Ortner, and Aria Gabrys.

John's cremation will take place at "The Witness Crematory," located inside Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life to honor John in Barboursville, Kentucky, in the spring of 2025.

John's adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be remembered fondly and forever held in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share his journey. His cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
