Obituary
Pauley, John L., age 76, of Taylor, September 7, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Denise Pauley. Loving father of Gregory (Jean) Pauley. Dearest grandfather to Matthew, Tiana, Joseph (Sierra) Cox, Cole, Sarah, and great-grandfather to Levi, Addalyn, and 1 on the way. He is survived by his siblings Jack (Linda) Pauley, Geraldine (Kenneth) Cottongim, and Joan (the late Robert) Harpster. He is preceded in death by his parents Herman and Artie Pauley, and siblings Harold, Ann, and Albert. John truly enjoyed life, he enjoyed attending auctions, traveling and taking long road trips, hunting, fishing, and watching western movies. His grandkids were his pride and joy and truly cherished the time spent with each of them. Christmas was his favorite holiday and even had friends stop by his home to see his extravagant Christmas décor. When describing John, for those who knew him, could come up with countless traits, but one of them was definitely him being a true ladies’ man. He also proudly served in the United States Army, and for that reason, he will be taken by Horse-Drawn Military Caisson to his final resting place in Michigan Memorial Park. John will be forever loved, missed and remembered. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
