PACHECO-GORDILS, Maria M., age 85, passed in peace into God’s hands August 08, 2018 while surrounded by loved ones. Beloved wife of 52 years to Manuel Gordils who met and fell in love while working at the same corporation. Loving mother of Ana-Maria and Cris. Dearest grandmother of Rebecca and Ramon Reyes and great-grandmother of Stephanie, Josephine, Rebecca and Maria and great-great-grandmother of Jose-Manuel, Harry, Genesis, Angel, Jr. Anais, Rafael, Carlos, Sebastian and Sofia. Maria Mercedes was the first of ten children born to Jesus Pacheco and Angelina Ponce in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on April 30, 1933. In 1959 she and her family relocated to New York City and resided in the Bronx.
