PELFREY, Opal G., age 86, of Monroe, November 1, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Charles Pelfrey of 57 years. Loving mother of the late Robert (Kerin) Pelfrey. Caring grandmother of Cory Golden and Ryan Pelfrey. Dearest sister of Ruby Fowler, Alma Magee, Bruce Johnson, Parks Johnson, Douglas Johnson and Clifford Johnson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Della and Charlie Johnson, her brothers Clay Johnson, Glenn Johnson, Weaver Johnson, D.C. Johnson, Charlie Johnson and Albert Johnson, and her sister Della Mae Robinson. She worked and taught Sunday School, Bible School and also sang in a quartet. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She spent her time working for a supermarket, gardening, cooking, traveling, and supporting her husband in working with Boy Scouts.
