Obituary

Pamela Eleanor Petro, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025, in Flat Rock, Michigan. Born on February 17, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, she lived a life full of love and devotion, reaching the age of 75.

Pamela is lovingly remembered by her children, Nori Setser and Stephen J. Petro, who were her pride and joy. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Autumn, Claire, Camille, and Colton, whom she adored and found immense happiness in their presence.

Pamela was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Stephen J. Petro, her dear daughter Julie Petro, her loving parents Norbert and Bernice Schemansky, and her brother Lawrence Schemansky. Her family meant everything to her, and she held them close to her heart throughout her life.

She is survived by her loving sisters, Paula Sperka and Laura (Bill) Rowe, who will dearly miss her warmth and companionship. Pamela's love for her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she held a special place for each of them.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. A service to celebrate Pamela's life will be held at 5:00 PM on the same day. She will be laid to rest at Michigan Memorial Park, where she will find eternal peace.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, a cause close to Pamela's heart.

Pamela's gentle spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness and grace.
