  • I know there are many people who will say some similar statements, as I’m saying … but it’s because they’re The Truth! Gene Phillips was truly one of the finest men my husband and I ever knew. We shared many fine times in Nashville @ FWB Softball Tournaments, our boys all played in them, as we were all friends. Jan, please know you and your family are very dear to me. I will be nearby if you ever want to talk. Gene and Tom are probably sitting together, under a shade tree in Heaven, talking about The Lord & Sports! God Bless each and everyone of you! Sheila Claypool
  • Grew up next door to the Phillips. Gene was always kind and friendly to us. He hung on to his southern roots. Reminded me of Jed Clampett when I was a kid. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Jan and the rest of the family. Jim Agemak
  • To the Phillips Family - Mrs. Phillips, David, Roger, Tim and all. So sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Phillips. Our sympathies. Cliff & Diane LeFevers
