Obituary

PORTER, Phyllis D., age 76, of Brownstown, October 30, 2023. Beloved mother of Heather (Trisha Parks) Porter and Krista (Tim) Weaver. Loving grandmother of Jesse, Brenden and Isabella. She is also survived by her brothers Phillip Lewis and Michael Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Callie and her sister Pam. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.

Phyllis was such a beautiful person, both outside and inside. I worked with her for many years for many years but only got to really know her when we sat near each other and soon became close friends. She was smart, witty and always made me laugh. So funny. She loved and bragged about her grandchildren all the time. Had pictures of them on her desk. She was so happy when she finally retired. I will miss her. My deepest sympathy to the family. Phyllis and I worked together at the law firm. She was a nice lady, very smart, friendly and sweet. She talked about her kids and grandkids often and I could tell her best times were times spent with them. Kathleen Metevier-Rizza
