Obituary

Sandra Lea Podsiad, born January 5, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on July 6, 2026, in Wyandotte, Michigan, at the age of 77.

Sandra was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. She was known for her gentle spirit and creative soul. Sandra found joy in painting, often creating beautiful works that reflected her love of life and nature. Her passion for baking was particularly evident in the special birthday cakes she lovingly crafted for her grandchildren, each one made with care and affection. Her dedication to Bible study was a testament to her faith and the guidance it provided throughout her life.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mildred, her sister Marjorie, and her son David.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Ted Podsiad; her loving children, Brian and Lori; her cherished grandchildren, Kristen, Kelley, Chelsea, and Joshua; and her adored great-grandchildren, Ciara, Sarenity, Aurora, Audrey, Shiloh, and Zacari. She also leaves behind her dear siblings Mick, Kathy, George, and Becky, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Sandra’s warmth, love, kindness and creativity will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
