William Harry Emil Peer, born on May 12, 1944, in River Rouge, Michigan, passed away on July 2, 2026, in Dearborn, Michigan, at the age of 82.

A devoted family man and beloved member of his community, William was an active participant at Calvary Lutheran Church in Lincoln Park. His love for life was evident in his passion for golf, softball, and his undeniable sweet tooth, which brought joy to those around him.

William was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Jean; his loving parents, Taylor and Alice Peer; his brothers, Jim Peer and Jack Peer; and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph Young and Palma Young.

He leaves behind a legacy of love through his children: Bill (Trisha) Peer, Jr., Wendy (Craig) James, and Steven (Katie) Peer. His memory will also be treasured by his grandchildren: Amanda (Mike), Tyler, Dani, Tyler, Houston, Elizabeth, Lara, Jake, Riley, Ben, Mason, Madeline, Morgan, and Emily, as well as his great-grandchildren: Dawson, Macy, Brooklynn, and Hudson.

William is survived by his siblings, Judy (the late John) Jackson, Mike (Sandy) Peer, and Lillian (the late Larry) Waun. He will be fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Sandy (Larry) Roach, Clayton (Connie) Young, Kathy Krebaum and Bob (Karen) Young. His extended family, including many nieces, nephews, and friends, will forever hold him in their hearts.

In remembering William, we celebrate a life marked by faith, love, and joyous gatherings with family and friends. His warmth, kindness, and spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In lieu of flowers, donations in William’s memory may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church.
