Obituary
Delores Ann Ronco, born on July 7, 1947, in Wyandotte, Michigan, passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 79.
Delores was a devoted homemaker who cherished her family above all else. She was known for her warm and nurturing spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer comfort to those around her. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler and found joy in the camaraderie and fun of the sport. Delores had a deep love for animals and was a caretaker to many, both human and animal alike, throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, John H. Smith and Ina C. Smith, as well as her four brothers and one sister. Delores is survived by her loving husband, Douglas, and her children: Jack (Kerrie) Wright, Sherry Miller, James Wright, Veronica (Angela Smith) Ronco, Cheyenne Horton, and Shawn Horton. She also leaves behind 10 cherished grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy and pride.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a service at 3:00 PM. Entombment to follow in Michigan Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA, reflecting her deep love and compassion for animals and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Delores Ann Ronco will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
