Obituary

RICHERT, James D, age 50, of Troy, January 19, 2022. Beloved husband of Julie Richert. Loving father of Christian, Marissa, Alex, and Ava. He is survived by his brothers Joseph (Joletta), Jay (Kim), Jack (Christina), his sisters Jacqueline (Tim) Hobbins and Jill ( William Maples) Rosenberg. He is preceded in death by his sister Jennifer Richert and his parents.

My deepest sympathies to the entire Richert family and staff at Special Tree. The world lost one heck of an amazing guy. He was one of my favorite cousins. I remember riding to the video store when we were kids in Uncle Joe's Porsche. And he didn't even have a license yet. Lots of great memories to cherish I am unable to attend as I have covid and do not wish to spread it. Sending lots of love and hugs to all from afar. The world will miss you Jimmy. Words cannot adequately express the shock and sadness we feel at the news of Jim's passing. He was a tireless advocate on behalf of both providers and survivors of brain/spinal cord injuries; a committed leader on the board of the MBIPC; and a devout family man.
