Obituary
James Roscoe Richard, a devoted husband, father, and cherished friend, passed away on February 9, 2026, in Taylor, Michigan. Born on October 16, 1937, in Oakvale, West Virginia, he lived a life rich with love and simple pleasures, reaching the age of 88.
James spent 67 wonderful years married to his beloved wife, Ann Richard, who survives him. He is also survived by his son, Jimmy (Carla) Richard, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren who brought joy to his life.
A man of many interests, James found happiness in the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, always appreciating the peace and beauty of nature. His love for bowling and woodworking allowed him to craft many lasting memories and creations. On weekends, you could often find him exploring flea markets, searching for hidden treasures and enjoying the thrill of the hunt in a different form.
James was preceded in death by his parents, John Pete Richard and Sadie Jane Richard, as well as his siblings, Maxil, Willie, Eugene, Milton, John, Allen, Effie, and Larry. His enduring spirit and warmth will be missed by all who knew him.
