Raul Silva Rodriguez, born on August 24, 1940, in Eagle Pass, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024, at the age of 84, in Livonia, Michigan. Raul lived a life marked by devotion to his family, work, and community, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and love.
A devoted husband, Raul shared 59 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Clara Rodriguez. Together, they built a family grounded in love and respect. He is survived by his loving children, Rosemary Roiter and Raul Rodriguez Jr., along with his daughter-in-law Lisa. His cherished grandchildren, Brittney (Lance), Erika (Chad), Adilita (Dustin), Jose (Noelle), John, and Olivia, will forever hold dear the memories of their times together. Raul's great-grandchildren—Aria, Lily, Miles, Ellie, Kayden, Kalie, and Amelia—will grow up with stories of his warmth and kindness, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Raul was a skilled electrician, dedicating 34 years of service to General Motors. His commitment to his craft was evident in the care and precision with which he approached his work. Beyond his professional achievements, Raul was a man who loved to fix things, whether it was a lawn mower or an automobile. His hands were never idle, always creating, mending, or building.
His passion for fishing and hunting provided countless joyful moments spent with his son and grandsons, as they connected with nature and each other. Raul cherished these times, sharing his love for the outdoors with those he held dear.
Family gatherings were a cornerstone of Raul's life. He led his family in prayers during holidays, bringing everyone together in gratitude and reflection. Raul's deep faith and love for his family shone brightly in all he did.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Josefa Rodriguez, and siblings Jesse, Gilbert, Ernest, Concepcion, and Maria. He is also survived by his sister Guadalupe (Alvaro).
