Obituary

SHANAVER, D.O., Alice K., age 75, of Flat Rock, March 15, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Paul J. Shanaver. Loving mother of Jennifer Howerton, Elizabeth Shanaver and Melissa Shanaver. Dear grandmother Andrew, Dyllan and Emberley. Alice is also survived by her nephews Derek Raynesford and Augustine (Irene) Tran. She is preceded in death by her brother Robert Thomas Raynesford.

Dr Shanaver was my doctor and my friend for over 25 years. She was a woman of many talents, and I was fortunate to have heard her play with her orchestra. Alice was a dear, dear friend and a spectacular person. We met at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and "clicked," enjoying special time together - music, art, and wine Tuesdays! Our last visit was just this past Fall, here at my home in Tennessee. I am honored to have been her friend. She had a loving heart and an even more joyful spirit. She will be greatly missed.
