Obituary
Annette Marie Shaw, born on June 13, 1936, in Wyandotte, Michigan, peacefully passed away in her hometown on November 15, 2024, at the age of 88. Annette was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Annette was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hilbert "Curly" Earl Shaw; her father, Louis Jude Christie; her mother, Anna Marie Miller; her brothers, Louis Christie, Donald Christie, and Dave Christie; and her sister, Sheryl Grocki. She now joins them in eternal rest.
Left to carry forward her memory are her loving children, Ann Marie Shaw and Nicolette Renee Dodson. Annette was also a devoted grandmother to Amanda Nicole Douglas, Donald Nicholas Lambert, Heather Nicole Lambert, Amber Annette Marin-Ojeda, Corey Michael Asmus, Cullan Dustan Page, and Brian Anthony Koch. Her legacy continues through her cherished great-grandchildren, Emilio David Vivar and Deyliz Evanna Vivar.
Annette is also survived by her sister, Colleen Ottenbreit, and her brother, Ray Christie, along with numerous extended family members and friends who were touched by her kindness and warmth.
Known for her passion for collecting Boyds Bears, Annette found joy and beauty in the simple pleasures of life. Her family remembers her as a gentle soul with an endless capacity for love and generosity.
Annette's life was a testament to the strength of family bonds and the joy of shared memories. She will be remembered fondly and held dearly in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
