Obituary

SCOTT, Barbara A., age 82, of Gibraltar, November 02, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Ian Scott. Loving mother of Calvin DeVoll, Robert DeVoll, Timothy DeVoll and Loretta (Daryl) Jamieson. Dearest grandmother of 18 and great-grandmother of many. She is also survived by her brother Robert McGowan and her sister Jean (Jim) Mecham. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Velma McGowan and her daughter Dawn Klomp. Her cremation took place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.

Rest in peace grandma. Thank you for all you did for all of us. Such a natural caregiver, always seeing the beauty in everyone you met. Thank you for introducing me to Shirley Temple and Pippi Longstocking (makes me laugh thinking about trying to get you to put crazy braids in my hair)as a young girl. Thank you for helping my moms memory live on - it makes me smile thinking you two together laughing, dancing , and singing. Thank you for modeling to us all of what true selflessness looks like and may we all take that with us to pass along to generations to come.
