Condolences
- Thank you Mari. Good old Ford Blvd. We were crammed together pretty close in our neighborhood, but as kids we seemed to have plenty of room and life seemed pretty good. Can't be too many of our parents' generation left. Best wishes to all the Rohdes. Thanks for writing. Paul Sewell
- To all of you, my prayers are sent on the loss of your dad. I grew up next door to you guys and your dad was one of the friendliest dads on the block. Tho i was closer in age to Ruth(ie)...I remember all of you.Neighbors and neighborhoods were different then and on our block everyone knew everyone. So I am sure everyone will grieve the loss of one of our childhood neighbors, friend and kind soul. - To Rick Agemak - Wow. Long time no see. Thanks for sharing that memory Rick. I hated to see you move away - you were a good friend (a little crazy though in a fun way). You haven't forgotten your Canadian roots I see, eh? Hope John, Jimmy, and Kathy are all doing well - am I forgetting anyone? I appreciate you taking the time to send some kind words our way. God bless you old friend. Paul Sewell
- Hello Paul, Mark, and "Ruthie". I just saw your dad's notice today in News Herald. I remembered the Sewell's from good 'ol Ford Blvd. Grew up with you guys and a lot of other "little rascals" in that neighborhood . Had a creek and a field to play in , which most kids did everyday back then, eh? Played a lot of baseball . Everybody was a pretty good ball player, especially Paul. Moved to Gibraltar when I was about 11 or 12. Fortunately Gib had a lot of creeks and fields. Still missed the old neighborhood and friends. I remembered how neat it was to have a baseball in good condition. Pretty valuable back then. Now my grand kids buy them by the bucket! Well, I recall a day when we were playing ball behind our houses in the field and the ball ( only good one we had) went into the weeds. Usually we found it but this time it seemed to have disappeared . Your dad came out and asked what was going on and when we told him we just could not find that baseball , he went and got his weed whacker ( a manual one you had to swing) no gas whackers back then! He chopped weeds in that field until our ball appeared ! Don't recall any other dads on that street who would have done that. Just a small memory that stuck with me. I'm sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathy to you all. Rick Agemak Richard (Rick) Agemak
